JDA Software Group Signs 38,000 SF Rockville Lease

JDA Software Group has signed a 38,000 square foot lease at 9713 Key West Ave., part of a three-building, 282,000-square-foot complex in Rockville, MD.
Robert Scheer, the founder and president of Scheer Partners, and Matt Brady, a company vice president, represented JDA Software Group in the new 10-year lease, which features office and training space. The complex is owned by Newton, Mass.-based CommonWealth REIT.
Scottsdale, Ariz-based JDA Software Group first occupied space at the DANAC Stiles corporate campus about five years ago, dating back to its acquisition of Rockville-based Manugistics Group, a publicly traded provider of synchronized revenue-management and supply-chain solutions.
When JDA Software Group made this purchase in 2006, the Arizona company picked up the local firm's lease of the entire 282,000-square-foot complex at 9713, 9715 and 9717 Key West Ave., which had served as Manugistics Group's headquarters.
Brady says that JDA Software Group scouted sites both domestically and internationally for its space, but the company ultimately decided to stay in a location that it has called home for half of a decade.
JDA Software Group has a total of 14 U.S. offices, 23 international locations and more than 3,000 employees.
